Custom Eddie Bauer EB530 Soft Shell Jacket With Your Logo

Custom Eddie Bauer EB530 Soft Shell Jacket With Your Logo

A custom soft shell jacket with your logo is one of the most practical pieces a company can hand out, and the Eddie Bauer EB530 Soft Shell Jacket is a solid example. It blocks wind, sheds light rain, stretches with you and has a fleece interior for warmth. A soft shell looks clean with an embroidered or transferred chest logo, but its bonded fabric needs careful handling. Battle Born Clothing in Yerington, Nevada, decorates it in-house, and this guide covers specs, placement and ordering.

Specs that matter for decoration

The layered construction is what makes this jacket work, and it is also what we plan around:

  • Fabric: a windproof three-layer soft shell: 96/4 poly/spandex bonded to a water-resistant laminated film insert, with a 100% polyester fleece interior.
  • Performance: 3000mm water protection rating and 3000 g/m2 breathability rating (3K/3K), with two-way stretch.
  • Construction: reverse-coil zippered chest pocket, front zippered pockets, adjustable hook-and-loop tab cuffs, open hem with locking drawcord and interior component loops at the back neck and cuffs for attaching to other jackets.
  • Brand mark: a contrast heat transfer Eddie Bauer logo on the right chest, so your logo goes on the left chest.
  • Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL.
  • Color range: 4 colors: Black, Dark Adriatic, Grey Steel and River Blue Navy.

Blank starts at $69.42 before decoration.

Best decoration method

Both embroidery and DTF transfers work on this soft shell. The right choice depends on your logo and how much you care about the water-resistant film at the logo area.

Embroidery

  • Magnetic hoops: soft shells are prone to hoop burn, a shiny ring left by a standard hoop clamping the bonded fabric. We use magnetic hoops to hold the jacket without crushing it.
  • Needle holes: embroidery perforates the laminated film. On a small left chest logo this is a reasonable trade for most buyers, but it does reduce water resistance right at the logo.
  • Moderate stitch counts: the stretch face and bonded layers pucker under dense fills, so we keep stitch counts reasonable and use a stabilizing backing.

DTF transfers

  • No needle holes: a transfer leaves the film intact, which keeps water resistance across the chest.
  • Full color: good for detailed or multicolor logos that would be heavy in thread.
  • Heat testing: we test press settings on the fabric first, since bonded shells can be heat sensitive.

Placement suggestions

  • Left chest: the main spot, opposite the Eddie Bauer logo, about 3.5 to 4 inches wide. We check the chest pocket location so the logo does not land on the zipper.
  • Sleeve: a secondary logo around 2.5 to 3 inches wide.
  • Upper back: a company name across the shoulders, roughly 8 to 10 inches wide. A transfer is usually the better choice for large back art on a soft shell.

Who orders it

A branded soft shell is a popular corporate pick in general because it works for outdoor crews and office teams alike. Around Northern Nevada and nationwide, common buyers include:

  • Construction and surveying crews: wind protection on exposed job sites.
  • Mining and utility workers: a weather layer for high desert wind and spring storms.
  • Corporate and sales teams: a jacket that travels well to trade shows and client visits.
  • Resorts, golf courses and outdoor venues: staff jackets for shoulder seasons.
  • Public agencies and first responders: a branded outer layer for field staff.

Pair it with

The Eddie Bauer EB200 Full-Zip Fleece Jacket is a lighter, lower-cost layer for the same crew. The EB510 Quilted Jacket adds insulation for winter. Both are on our Eddie Bauer hub page.

FAQ

Does embroidery ruin a soft shell's water resistance?

Not the whole jacket, but the needle holes do reduce water resistance at the logo. If that matters, a DTF transfer keeps the laminated film intact.

What is hoop burn and how do you avoid it?

Hoop burn is a shiny or crushed ring left by a standard embroidery hoop. We use magnetic hoops on soft shells to avoid it.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Embroidery and DTF transfers have no minimum.
