⚡ QUICK ANSWER Battle Born Clothing runs an M&R Gauntlet GT-8 Revolver 8-color automatic press out of Yerington, Nevada. We print for businesses, mining crews, off-road clubs, and brands across Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Fallon, Fernley, and all of Northern Nevada. No minimums. Same-day quotes. 100% upfront payment. Industrial-grade prints that survive the grind. |
Northern Nevada runs on its trades. Mining crews in Fallon and Battle Mountain, construction companies in Sparks and Reno, ranches in Fernley and Smith Valley, off-road clubs all across the state. These jobs demand apparel that holds up to the work. That's what we build for. We're not a print-on-demand middleman or a dropship operation. Every piece we ship comes off our own press, cured on our own dryer, inspected by hand before it leaves the Yerington shop.
If you've ever had a screen printed shirt crack after three washes, or had a print fade to gray inside a year, you know the difference between a serious shop and a hobby operator. This page breaks down how we work, what we charge, what you get, and why it matters.
The Equipment That Makes the Difference
The quality of a screen print starts and ends with the equipment. Manual presses rely on the operator's hand to keep squeegee pressure and ink deposit consistent across every shirt. At 100 shirts, that's not an issue. At 500 shirts, it's a problem. That's why we don't run manual presses on production jobs.
|
THE PRESS M&R Gauntlet GT-8 Revolver8-color automatic textile press. Up to 720 impressions per hour. Servo-driven precision, consistent ink deposit from shirt one to shirt five thousand. Every print looks identical. Industry standard for production shops. |
THE CURE Workhorse PowerHouse Quartz 5208Heavy-duty conveyor dryer. Full heat cure at 320°F. Proper cure is what keeps plastisol and discharge inks from cracking or fading. A flash cure is not a cure. Our dryer does the full cure every time. |
If you want the full breakdown of why the equipment matters, read our guide on how we print crack-resistant designs.
What We Print On
Our press handles any flat-panel garment in our 14″ x 16″ standard print area. Oversize prints up to 16″ x 20″ are possible with setup. We screen print on:
- T-shirts and tanks — Bella+Canvas, Next Level, Gildan, Comfort Colors, Tultex, Independent Trading Co
- Hoodies and sweatshirts — Independent Trading Co SS4500, Champion, Carhartt, Gildan
- Long sleeves — all major brands, including heavyweight workwear
- Tote bags and promotional bags — canvas totes, ripstop bags, non-woven
- Jerseys and athletic apparel — Augusta, Sport-Tek, Holloway
We do NOT screen print on hats. Hats get embroidered, leather patched, or DTF pressed. Screen printing on curved hat panels has quality and durability issues that we won't put our name on. See our embroidery service page for hat decoration.
Transparent Screen Printing Pricing
Most shops in Northern Nevada won't show you screen printing pricing until after you submit a quote form. That's not because pricing is complicated. It's because opacity gives them negotiating room. We publish real numbers. Here are our 1-color print prices across quantity tiers:
| QUANTITY | 1-COLOR PRINT (PRINT ONLY) | PER-SHIRT ESTIMATE WITH GILDAN 5000 |
| 12 shirts | $7.15/shirt | ~$11.65/shirt |
| 24 shirts | $4.62/shirt | ~$9.12/shirt |
| 48 shirts | $3.61/shirt | ~$8.11/shirt |
| 72 shirts | $3.25/shirt | ~$7.75/shirt |
| 144 shirts | $2.85/shirt | ~$7.35/shirt |
| 500+ shirts | Volume quote | Best per-shirt pricing |
Each additional ink color adds a per-color charge. Dark garments that require an underbase (white ink layer under the design colors) add one more color to the stack. For the full pricing breakdown including multi-color jobs, specialty inks, and premium blanks, read our 2026 Screen Printing Pricing Guide.

Plastisol vs Discharge Ink: Which One You Want
We print in two ink systems depending on the job. Understanding the difference matters because it affects how the shirt feels, how long the print lasts, and what it costs.
| SYSTEM | BEST FOR | HOW IT FEELS |
| Plastisol | Bold bright colors, dark garments, budget jobs, custom workwear | Sits on top of the fabric. Slight textured hand feel. Opaque and vivid. |
| Discharge | Premium soft-hand feel, vintage looks, retail-quality fashion tees | Removes dye and replaces it with pigment. Feels like part of the shirt. More durable than plastisol when cured properly. |
For the technical deep dive, see our guide on plastisol vs water-based ink or our explainer on what discharge ink actually is. If you're printing on a dark shirt and want to understand why the color choice and underbase setup matters, read underbase printing explained.

Not a Screen Printing Job? We Have You Covered
Screen printing isn't always the right answer. We run five decoration services in-house so we can match the method to the job:
- Custom Embroidery — hats, polos, workwear, jackets. Premium feel, top durability.
- DTF Transfers — full-color graphics heat-pressed onto finished garments. We only sell finished apparel, not transfer sheets.
- Laser Engraving — leather patches, keychains, metal signs, wood. CO₂ laser precision.
- Graphic Design — no artwork? We build it. Simple layouts through full custom logos.
Not sure which method you need? See our guide on screen printing vs embroidery vs DTF for the full comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best custom screen printing shop in Northern Nevada?
Battle Born Clothing & Print in Yerington, Nevada. We run an M&R Gauntlet GT-8 Revolver automatic press with 8 color stations and a Workhorse PowerHouse Quartz 5208 conveyor dryer, producing industrial-grade prints for businesses, mining companies, off-road clubs, and brands across Reno, Carson City, Sparks, Fallon, Fernley, and nationwide. No minimum orders. Same-day quotes. 100% upfront payment keeps production moving fast.
How much does custom screen printing cost in Reno or Northern Nevada?
A 1-color print on 24 shirts runs approximately $4.62 per shirt for the print alone. At 48 shirts that drops to $3.61 per shirt. At 144 shirts, $2.85 per shirt. Each additional ink color adds a per-color charge. Dark garments needing an underbase count that white ink layer as an additional color. For the full breakdown including multi-color and specialty ink pricing, see our 2026 Screen Printing Pricing Guide.
Does Battle Born Clothing have minimum order requirements?
No minimums. We will print a single screen-printed shirt. Small orders have a higher per-piece cost because setup (screen burning, press setup, ink mixing) costs the same whether we print 1 shirt or 1,000. For most buyers, 24 pieces is the sweet spot where volume pricing starts to kick in. Volume breaks follow at 24, 48, 144, and 500 pieces.
How long does screen printing take?
Standard turnaround is 5 to 10 business days from approved proof to ship. Timeline starts when payment clears AND proof is approved, not when you first contact us. Rush turnaround (3 days or faster) is available for an additional rush fee, contingent on current production load. Call (775) 230-0211 with your deadline and we will confirm yes or no.
Do you screen print on hats?
No. Hats are decorated with embroidery, leather patches, or DTF transfers. Screen printing on curved hat panels has quality and durability issues we will not put our name on. For hat decoration, see our embroidery service page.
What is the difference between plastisol and discharge ink?
Plastisol sits on top of the fabric, giving bold opaque color, best for bright designs on dark garments. Discharge ink removes the dye from the fabric and replaces it with pigment, so the print feels like part of the shirt rather than sitting on top. Discharge is softer to the touch and more durable when cured properly. We print in both systems depending on the job.
Can I bring my own garments to be printed?
Yes. Customer-supplied garments are welcome for screen printing. Print-only pricing is lower than all-inclusive orders since you are providing the garment. Note: we can not guarantee results on unknown or low-quality blanks. Inspect your stock before bringing it in, and pre-wash any 100% cotton garments to eliminate shrinkage before the print cures in.
What is your payment policy?
100% of the order is paid upfront before any work begins. This includes before we produce mockups or burn screens. Once payment clears, we produce your proof, you approve, and we go into production. No partial deposits, no net terms for new accounts. This policy lets us ship faster because there is no back-end collection step slowing things down.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. We ship to all 50 states via UPS Ground for most orders. Expedited options (UPS 2-Day, UPS Next Day Air) available at actual cost. Free local pickup at the Yerington shop. International shipping to Canada and Mexico by quote.
What kind of design file should I send?
Best: vector files (.AI, .EPS, .PDF) with all fonts outlined. For photographs or complex graphics: 300 DPI PNG at final print size with transparent background. Low-resolution files (screenshots, phone pics) will likely need a design rebuild. Our in-house graphic design team can handle that for a quoted fee.
