Why Engraving Beats Printing on Drinkware
- Permanent. The mark is burned into the coating, not sitting on top of it. No peeling after a month in a truck cup holder.
- Dishwasher safe. Printed wraps often are not.
- Clean at any size. Small type engraves sharper than it prints on a curved surface.
- One-tone look. Engraving cuts through the powder coat to the metal underneath, which is a look in itself.
Artwork That Engraves Well
Laser engraving is single tone, so contrast and line weight matter more than color. Bold vector art, solid shapes and clean type work. Photographic gradients and hairline detail do not. Send AI, EPS, PDF or SVG when you have it; we can redraw raster art for a small fee.
Ordering, Minimums and Turnaround
No minimum on engraving. Pricing depends on the item, the engrave area and quantity, so send the piece and the count and we will quote it. Standard production is 10–14 business days from your approved proof, and holiday gifting orders should land by early November to be safe.

Is there a minimum order for engraved tumblers?
No minimum. We will engrave a single tumbler, though per-piece pricing improves with quantity.
Is laser engraving dishwasher safe?
Yes. The mark is cut into the powder coat rather than printed on the surface, so it does not peel or fade in the dishwasher.
Can you engrave tumblers I already bought?
Yes. We engrave customer-supplied drinkware after checking the coating, since some finishes engrave much cleaner than others.
Can you do full color on a tumbler?
Engraving is single tone by nature. For full color we use a printed wrap instead, which looks great but is less durable than engraving.
How long do engraved gifts take?
Standard production is 10–14 business days from approved proof. For holiday gifting, get the order in by early November.
What artwork do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) engrave best. We can redraw a raster logo for a small fee if that is all you have.
