Our Story
From a Garage in Yerington to Nevada's Industrial Corridor
Battle Born Clothing started the way most real things do: with a problem and the stubborn refusal to accept the status quo. Rob and Pamela Krause were tired of watching Nevada businesses get jerked around by out-of-state print shops. Missed deadlines. Cracked prints after one wash. Customer service that disappeared the second a deposit cleared.
So they built the alternative. In 2020, from Yerington, NV (population ~3,400), they launched Battle Born Clothing & Print with one press, one embroidery machine, and a commitment: every order gets treated like the only order.
That commitment hasn't changed. The equipment has. Today the shop runs an M&R Gauntlet GT-8 Revolver 8-color automatic press, Happy HCD2-1501 multi-head commercial embroidery machines, a Workhorse PowerHouse 5208 conveyor dryer, a CO₂ laser engraver, and a Cowboy CB3500 heavy-duty leather stitching machine. What started as a garage operation now serves mines along the I-80 corridor, school districts across Northern Nevada, restaurants and breweries in Reno, construction crews on USA Parkway, and Toyota enthusiasts across the country.
Rob handles production, quality control, and the Toyota enthusiast brand that's become a cult favorite online. Pamela manages the business side: client relationships, marketing, and the infrastructure that keeps orders moving. Between the two of them, there's no sales team, no middleman, and no one who doesn't personally care whether your order comes out right.

Our Equipment
Production-Grade Equipment. Not Hobby Gear.
The difference between a print shop and a production house is the equipment behind the promise. Here's what's running under our roof:
|
M&R Gauntlet GT-8 Revolver | 8-color automatic screen printing press, 250+ garments/hour |
|
Happy HCD2-1501 | Multi-head commercial embroidery machines, hand-digitized artwork |
|
Workhorse PowerHouse 5208 | Quartz conveyor dryer for industrial-strength cure adhesion |
|
CO₂ Laser Engraver | Precision engraving on leather, wood, tumblers, and awards |
|
Cowboy CB3500 | Heavy-duty leather stitching machine, compound feed, sews up to 7/8" thick |
We run premium inks from Rutland, Wilflex, International Coatings, Matsui, and CCI. Blank garments come direct from SanMar, S&S Activewear, and Alphabroder. These are full-service wholesale distributors that don't sell to hobbyists. That distinction matters when it comes to garment consistency, availability, and pricing.
Community & Culture
Nevada Roots. Toyota Culture. Off-Road DNA.
Battle Born Clothing runs two tracks. The custom print shop serves businesses, schools, mining operations, and organizations across Northern Nevada and beyond. The Toyota enthusiast brand serves a nationwide community of Land Cruiser, Tacoma, 4Runner, and vintage Toyota owners who appreciate heritage-driven apparel that doesn't come from a dropshipper.
Rob drives an FZJ80 Land Cruiser and is active in the Toyota off-road community. That's not a marketing angle. It's Saturday. The Toyota content on this site comes from someone who actually wrenches on these trucks, knows the difference between a 1FZ-FE and a 2UZ-FE, and has opinions about solid axle swaps.
On the custom side, we're embedded in Nevada's working economy. Mining companies along the I-80 corridor from Battle Mountain to Winnemucca. Construction crews building out USA Parkway. School booster clubs in Fallon and Dayton. Restaurants and breweries in Reno and Carson City. We don't just print for Nevada. We're part of it.

No print-on-demand. No dropshipping. Every piece of apparel we sell is produced in-house on our own equipment. When you buy a Toyota hat or a heritage tee, you're getting something that was designed, printed or stitched, and quality-checked in Yerington, NV. |

About Battle Born Clothing
Who owns Battle Born Clothing?
Battle Born Clothing & Print is owned and operated by Rob and Pamela Krause out of Yerington, Nevada. Rob handles production and the Toyota enthusiast brand. Pamela manages business operations, marketing, and client relationships. There's no corporate parent company and no investor backing. It's a husband-and-wife shop.
Where is Battle Born Clothing located?
Our shop is at 3 Pebble Beach Ln, Yerington, NV 89447. We serve all of Northern Nevada including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Fallon, Dayton, Gardnerville, Lake Tahoe, and the I-80 mining corridor. We also serve Northern California (Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn, Stockton, Tracy, Livermore) and ship finished products nationwide.
What makes Battle Born different from other print shops?
Three things. First, everything is produced in-house on production-grade equipment (not outsourced). Second, we have no minimums on embroidery and laser engraving, so you can order a single custom hat. Third, you deal directly with the owners from quote to delivery. No sales reps, no middlemen, no runaround. We also publish transparent pricing guides so you know what to expect before you call.
Do you have minimum order requirements?
For embroidery and laser engraving, no minimums at all. We'll do one hat. For screen printing, the standard minimum is 48 pieces per design (due to setup costs). For smaller runs, we recommend DTF transfers, which handle any quantity and support full-color, photo-realistic artwork. Learn more about DTF printing.
What's the deal with the Toyota hats and apparel?
Rob is a Toyota enthusiast who drives an FZJ80 Land Cruiser. The Toyota hat and apparel line grew out of that community connection. Every design is created in-house, printed or stitched on our own equipment, and ships from Yerington. No print-on-demand, no dropshipping. The line covers Land Cruiser, Tacoma, 4Runner, TRD, TEQ, and vintage Toyota heritage designs.
