Custom Logo Shirts for Businesses
Short answer: custom logo shirts for a business start with the right garment (tee, polo, work shirt or performance shirt), then the right decoration for your logo. Screen printing runs about $4.85 a shirt for a 1-color logo at 24 pieces down to $2.38 at 120, plus $20 per screen. Embroidery is about $6 a shirt at 12 to 47. The garment is added on top, and orders ship in 10 to 14 business days.
This page walks through the decisions in the order we make them with customers: which shirt, which decoration, where the logo goes, how to keep your brand colors right, and what it costs. We decorate in Yerington, Nevada and ship nationwide.
Step 1: Pick the Shirt
Start with where the shirt will be worn and who is wearing it. The garment drives the decoration choice, not the other way around.
| Shirt | Best for | Usual decoration |
|---|---|---|
| T-shirts | Crew tees, events, giveaways, merch | Screen print or DTF |
| Polos | Front desk, sales, golf events, client-facing staff | Embroidery |
| Work shirts | Field crews, shops, trades, hi-vis jobs | Embroidery or screen print |
| Performance shirts | Outdoor crews, teams, hot climates | Screen print with poly inks, DTF or embroidery |

Step 2: Match the Decoration to Your Logo
Your logo itself tells you a lot about how it should go on the shirt. For the full breakdown, read screen printing vs embroidery vs DTF.
- Solid colors, 1 to 4 of them: screen printing. It is the most durable print and the cheapest per shirt as quantity goes up.
- Small chest logo on a polo or work shirt: embroidery. It looks professional and holds up to hard wear. Your logo gets digitized once, starting at $16.99. See embroidery digitizing services.
- Full color, gradients or photo detail in a small run: DTF transfers. No screens, so short runs make sense. See custom DTF transfers.
- Very thin lines or tiny text: simplify for thread or ink first. Read why your logo looks bad on a t-shirt.
Step 3: Logo Placement and Size
Most business shirts use a left chest logo on the front and sometimes a larger print on the back. These are the sizes we work from. Full detail is in our print placement guide.
| Placement | Typical width | Position |
|---|---|---|
| Left chest | 3–4" | 3–4" below the collar seam, over the left chest |
| Full front (adult L–XL) | 11–12" | Top of print 2.5–3" below the collar seam |
| Upper back (yoke) | 8–11" | 1.5–3" below the collar |
| Full back | 11–14" | Top of print 3–5" below the collar seam |
| Sleeve | 2–3.5" | Centered, 1–2" up from the hem |
Each extra print location is its own setup and pass, so one location costs less than three. Embroidered chest logos keep the same size but need a little more room around seams and plackets.
Step 4: Keep Your Brand Colors Right
- Send Pantone (PMS) numbers if you have them. Ink is mixed to match, and the shirt color affects the final look. See the Pantone matching guide.
- Dark shirts need a white underbase under the colors so they stay bright. See underbase printing explained.
- Thread is matched to the closest thread color, not mixed like ink. If an exact shade matters, tell us when you order.
- Pick shirt colors that contrast with your logo. A navy logo on a black shirt disappears from across the room.
Pricing Examples
These are decoration costs only, using our standard rates. The shirt is added on top and depends on the brand and style, so ask us for the full number.
| Order | Decoration math | About per shirt |
|---|---|---|
| 24 tees, 1-color left chest print | 24 × $4.85 + $20 screen = $136.40 | $5.68 + shirt |
| 48 tees, 1-color front print | 48 × $3.79 + $20 screen = $201.92 | $4.21 + shirt |
| 120 tees, 1-color front print | 120 × $2.38 + $20 screen = $305.60 | $2.55 + shirt |
| 24 polos, embroidered left chest | 24 × about $6 + digitizing from $16.99 = about $160.99 | $6.71 + polo |
| 48 polos, embroidered left chest | 48 × about $5.50 + digitizing from $16.99 = about $280.99 | $5.85 + polo |
More ink colors or more locations add screens and passes. See the full pricing page or how much screen printing costs.
How to Order Custom Logo Shirts
- Send your logo. Vector art (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best.
- Pick the shirt and colors, or tell us the job and we will suggest a few.
- Give us a size run, like 6 S, 12 M, 14 L, 8 XL, 4 2XL.
- Approve the proof. It shows the logo size in inches and where it sits.
- We produce and ship, 10 to 14 business days after approval, anywhere in the U.S.
Reorders and Uniform Programs
Once your shirts are set up, reordering is simple. We keep your approved art, screen separations and stitch file on record, so an exact reorder usually skips setup and digitizing charges. Details are on our reorder and artwork storage page. If you outfit new hires every few months, an employee uniform program locks in styles, colors and logo placement so every order matches.
Custom Logo Shirt FAQ
How much do custom logo shirts cost?
Decoration starts at about $4.85 a shirt for a 1-color print at 24 pieces, $3.79 at 48 and $2.38 at 120, plus $20 per screen. Embroidery is about $6 a shirt at 12 to 47 and $5.50 at 48 and up, plus digitizing from $16.99. The shirt itself is added on top.
Should my logo be printed or embroidered?
Embroidery looks best on polos, button-ups and workwear with a small chest logo. Screen printing is the better value for tees, bigger designs and larger runs. Full-color logos in small quantities usually go DTF.
How big should a logo be on a shirt?
A left chest logo is about 3 to 4 inches wide, sitting 3 to 4 inches below the collar seam. A full front print on an adult L or XL is usually 11 to 12 inches wide.
What file do I need to send?
Vector art (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best. A large, clean PNG can work. If all you have is a fuzzy file, send it anyway and ask us about a redraw.
How long does an order take?
Production is 10 to 14 business days after you approve the proof, and we ship nationwide.
Can we reorder the same shirts later?
Yes. We keep your art and stitch file on record, so an exact reorder with no changes usually skips setup and digitizing charges.
