Custom Marmot PreCip Eco Rain Jacket M15881 With Your Logo

Custom Marmot PreCip Eco Rain Jacket M15881 With Your Logo

If you are searching for a custom Marmot rain jacket, the PreCip is the name most people know. The Marmot M15881 Men's PreCip Eco Packable Rain Jacket is a fully seam-taped nylon shell with a waterproof, breathable membrane and pit zips, and it stuffs into its own pocket for storage. It makes a useful uniform piece for crews who work in the weather and a gift people will actually keep in the truck or the suitcase. Because it is built to keep water out, how you add your logo matters. The blank starts at $114.08. Here is what to know.

Specs that matter for decoration

  • Fabric: 100% nylon with a NanoPro™ waterproof, breathable membrane.
  • Water repellency: PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish on the outside.
  • Construction: 100% seam-taped, DriClime® lined chin guard, pit zips for ventilation.
  • Pockets and packability: zippered hand pockets; the jacket stuffs into its own pocket.
  • Adjustments: drawcord hem and Velcro adjustable cuffs.
  • Sizes: S through 2XL (S, M, L, XL, 2XL).
  • Colors: 3 options: Arctic Navy, Black and Steel Onyx.
  • Blank price: starts at $114.08 before decoration.

Two specs matter most for decorating: the waterproof membrane, which you do not want to puncture, and the DWR finish, which is designed to make things slide off the surface. That second point affects how well a transfer bonds, so we always plan for it.

Best decoration method

DTF / heat transfer (recommended)

For a rain jacket, our recommendation is a heat-applied DTF transfer. It sits on top of the nylon instead of piercing it, so the membrane and seam taping stay intact. Because DWR-treated nylon resists adhesion and nylon is sensitive to heat, we dial in temperature, time and pressure carefully and test before running the full order. DTF handles full-color logos and has no minimum.

Embroidery (accepting a small leak point)

Embroidery is possible, but every needle hole goes through the waterproof membrane. That does not ruin the jacket, but the logo area will no longer be fully waterproof. If a stitched logo matters more to you, we keep it to a small left-chest design with a moderate stitch count and use a magnetic hoop to avoid hoop burn on the shell fabric. Embroidery has no minimum.

Screen printing

Screen printing is not a good fit for a DWR-treated, packable rain shell. DTF is the better heat-applied option.

Placement suggestions

  • Left chest: about 3–4 in wide. Keep it clear of the zipper and chin guard.
  • Upper back: a company name or website, about 8–10 in wide, as a DTF transfer.
  • Sleeve: a small mark around 2.5–3 in wide, placed so it does not interfere with the pit zips.

Since this jacket packs into its own pocket, we place logos so the pocket still opens, closes and stuffs normally.

Who orders it

  • Construction, utility and mining crews who keep working when storms move through Northern Nevada.
  • Outdoor guides, river outfitters and resorts in the Tahoe and Sierra area.
  • Agriculture and ranch operations that need a packable shell for spring and fall.
  • Corporate teams and travelers who want a premium gift that folds into a bag.
  • Golf events and outdoor tournaments where a rain layer earns its keep.

We serve customers in Yerington, Reno, Carson City and across Northern Nevada, and ship anywhere in the US.

Pair it with

The PreCip is a shell, so pair it with something warm underneath. The Marmot M15382 Leconte Fleece Jacket is a stretch grid fleece that layers under it well. If you want a stretchier everyday shell, compare it with the M16076 Tempo Lightweight Jacket. Both are on our Marmot hub page.

How to order

  1. Pick colors and sizes on the Marmot M15881 product page. Sizes run S through 2XL.
  2. Prepare your artwork. Vector files give the cleanest transfers. See our artwork requirements.
  3. Request a quote on our quote request page, and let us know whether waterproofing at the logo matters to you. Decoration pricing is on our pricing page.
  4. Approve your proof. Every order gets one. If we get it wrong against the approved proof, we reprint free under our quality and reprint guarantee.
  5. Production and delivery. About 21 days (three weeks) from an approved proof. Rush is quoted per job; see turnaround and rush orders. Free local pickup in Yerington, or we ship anywhere in the US per our shipping policy.

Have your own rain jackets? We decorate customer-supplied garments for a $2 per item handling fee, and you should expect about 4% spoilage, which is standard across decorating methods. FAQ

Can you put a logo on a Marmot PreCip without ruining the waterproofing?

Yes. A DTF heat transfer bonds to the surface without puncturing the membrane, so the jacket stays waterproof. Embroidery works too, but the stitched area will not be fully waterproof.

Does the logo affect packing it into its own pocket?

We place the logo so the stuff pocket still works. A DTF transfer is thin and flexible, so it folds with the jacket.

Is there a minimum for custom PreCip jackets?

No. DTF and embroidery have no minimum, so you can order one jacket or a whole crew's worth.
